Each day wrestling practice runs from 4:00 to 5:30 PM.
However, with 75 wrestlers signed up to participate and with the mitigation strategies we need to implement, Gladys Jung will be splitting practice time. At this time we have approximately 30 4th graders, and 30 5th and 6th graders, along with 15 4th through 6th graders from Ayaprun . Our intent, if we have the coaching and volunteer staff to do so, is to hold practices for our 4th graders on Monday and Wednesday and practices for our 5th and 6th graders on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Due to LKSD’s current policy for travel, which states that only fully vaccinated athletes/coaches may travel on LKSD funds, the vast majority of our wrestlers will not be traveling this season. However, we’d still like to get kids on the mats to wrestle. The plan is to host “Friday Night Roll-Arounds” like we do with the BWC.
If you are planning to volunteer to coach, you must be fully vaccinated, provide your vaccination card to the school, and be able to pass a background check through the school district.

NOTE: Please make plants to retrieve your students from practice promptly! Wrestling practice ends at 5:30 and students must be picked up by 5:45. Chronically late pick-ups will forfeit your child's right to compete.
