In honor of our Wrestling Tournament, to be held December 3 & 4, Gladys Jung Elementary is having a Spirit WEEK Nov. 29-Dec. 3, 2021.
We encourage students to participate in “Spirit Week” with appropriate dress and attire. Note that if a student’s dress or attire is deemed “inappropriate” by administrative staff, the student will be expected to change into school-appropriate clothing. Per the dress code, clothing should not advertise “gang affiliation”, “adult content” such as drugs, alcohol, tobacco, nudity, violence, or obscene or offensive images.
Monday: "Dress to the Nines" day-Dress as nice and fancy as you can "Trashbag" day-Responsibly wear a trash bag. No covering head or face.
Tuesday: "Black and White" day-Dress only in black and white or black or white "Diversity" day-Dress in a rainbow of colors
Wednesday: "Twin" day-Partner with a student or two to dress like one another. "Old" day-Dress like your grandparents would dress
Thursday: "Poster" Day-Dress as your favorite roadside poster. Keep it appropriate to school. "Box Troll" day-Dress as a box troll. No covering the head of the face.
Friday: "Pajama" day-Dress in your favorite school-appropriate pajamas "Decades" day-Pick a decade from the past and dress in the same fashion.
