Mikelnguut Elitnauriat, Gladys Jung Elementary, Bethel Regional High School, and Ayaprun Elitnarvik will soon begin offering an additional way to return your child’s device and completed work.
Starting November 3rd, a school vehicle will park behind each school meal bus. At each meal stop, a return container for each school will be available. When you collect your meals for the day, please bring devices and completed work to send back to your child’s school and place them in the appropriate container. Those items will be delivered to each school that day.
New work will not be distributed from these vehicles. GJE will have packet pick up in our gym this Thursday, November 4th.
Starting Tuesday, November 10th, we will ask parents to drop off their packets at the bus stop or school. We will have our new packet pick up on Wednesday, November 11th. GJE at this time, will be aligned with the rest of Bethel Schools.
It is important that everyone follow COVID safety practices when picking up meals and dropping off school materials. COVID safety practices include:
- Wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth.
- Keep 6 feet of distance from anyone who does not live with you.
- Wash your hands frequently and specifically before you go to the stop.
It is also important that parents alert the school if their family is in quarantine or has a positive case of COVID in the household. We can make special arrangements in situations where there is a higher risk.
