Reading Program	If you want to participate in the summer reading program the library is using a program called Beanstack. Go to Alaska.beanstack.org and register. and it will track your reading progress for the Summer reading raffle prizes. Superintendent Hankin's May 10 school update letter addresses Fall planning, vaccinations, and the return of athletics. 

LKSD is Collaborating with YKHC on a plan for students to safely return to school and extracurricular activities full time, in-person this Fall. Vaccination plays an important role in our planning. See more information here.

September 6, 2021: Labor Day (No school for students)
November 25-26: Thanksgiving break (No school for students) 
December 10: No school for students
December 22 - January 11: Winter Break (No school for students)  
January 12: Students start back at school after winter break 
January 20: Weather makeup day if needed
January 21: No school for students 
February 28 - March 4: Spring Break (No school for students) 
April 15: Weather makeup day if needed 
April 22: Weather makeup day if needed 
May 25: Last day of school for students
