The LKSD Food Service Department is thrilled to announce that beginning Tuesday, December 8th, our Meals on the Bus program will start contact-less delivery to homes in Bethel.
We are committed to following YKHC’s recommendations in order to keep our community as safe as we can during this time. We also recognize that there are many children in our community who benefit greatly from access to school meals. LKSD is excited to merge those two things into fully contact-less Meals on the Bus Delivery program.
All children 18 years and younger (or over 18 and enrolled with LKSD) are eligible for meals. We will be delivering breakfast and lunch each day Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. On Friday, we will deliver breakfast and lunch for Friday, and also breakfast and lunch for the following Monday. Deliveries will happen from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
Pre-ordering meals is required so we can get the correct number of meals to you! Our order form is available at this link,
Food Service Order Form, on the LKSD Website, and will also be published on our Facebook page. For those without internet access, we have a Meals on the Bus Delivery Hotline at (907) 545-8844. If we don’t pick up, please leave a message and we will call you back.
Our Meals on the Bus staff will approach your door, knock, place the food on your porch, and stand a safe distance away until you have received your meal. Please ensure that someone will be home in order to receive your meals. We cannot leave your meals if there is no one home to accept them.
LKSD’s Food Service Department will continue to do whatever we can in order to safely feed children in our communities. We are so grateful to the community of Bethel for your support in our efforts.
