GJE participated in "Kids Vote" this year, and the results are in! The new playing field has a name: Big Dipper Field.
This program was sponsored by 4-H, the City of Bethel and the State of Alaska. Students cast a real ballot, voting on the naming of a new playing field.
The election was held much like the local elections, with lists of names, a voting booth, ballots. In mimicking the adult procedure, we hope to make voting as an adult much more familiar and less confusing.
