Did you know that every quarter we award a "Kind Kid of the Quarter" at each grade level? Watch this space, for a profile of each kind kid from this quarter, starting today with 3rd grader Sally Peter!

Some of the reasons Sally’s classmates chose her, in their words:

• “She is happy, and she is cool, and she is really, really nice.”
• “She is super nice and she helps people with their math and reading stuff. And she plays with everyone.”
• “Sally is respectful and treats others like she wants to be treated, and helps everybody when they need it. She chooses to help instead of i-pad time. That’s
why I chose her.”
• “She is nice and friendly, and she has lots of friends because she is nice.”
• “She is nice, and she is happy.”
• “She has a smile on her face, and it brightens my day.”

Her teacher, Mrs. DeHaan, says: “It is hard to sum up everything on why Sally deserves to be Kind Kid of the Quarter in just one paragraph. Her sense of humor and wittiness makes our classroom an amazing place for everyone to be. She is constantly lifting up the people around her. I witness her interacting and playing with different kids on a daily basis and she is always willing to include others in whatever she is doing. She gets along with everyone in our class and continually encourages others to respect one another. I see her as an incredible role model for the entire school and I believe the school is a better place with Sally Peters in it. She deserves this award and the recognition for her amazing effort at making our school a kind and supportive place. I appreciate everything that she does for Gladys Jung! Thank you Sally!”
